7 days until pitchers and catchers report to spring training for the Texas Rangers.
If you had to come up with one player in Rangers history who is the Face of the Franchise -- historically -- you are probably going to pick one of two people: Michael Young or Pudge Rodriguez.
Pudge will be going into the Hall of Fame in a few years, as a Ranger. And he really had an incredible run with the Rangers in his prime -- from 1996-2001, he had a .319/.355/.529 slash line, and won a Gold Glove each season. Oh, and he is 3rd all time among major league catchers in bWAR.
Just an incredible player.
