Friday morning Rangers news and links

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning, everyone...

So, the big news of the day...Jurickson Profar is going to have shoulder surgery, and will likely miss most, if not all, of the 2015 season.

T.R. Sullivan writes that the belief is that Profar's shoulder problems are caused by a partially torn labrum he suffered in 2010, which is causing instability in the shoulder.

Jeff Wilson writes about Profar's injury, and how this puts his future in doubt.

Evan Grant writes that, after missing two full seasons, Profar may no longer find himself in the Rangers' plans after the 2015 season.

Now, in other, non-Profar news...

Sullivan looks at three big questions facing the Rangers as they head into spring training.

The Rangers signed Rougned Odor's brother yesterday.  His name is also Rougned Odor.

Yovani Gallardo says he never sees himself living anywhere other than Fort Worth.

Sullivan has notes on Martin Perez and Matt Harrison throwing, Rougned Odor's brother Rougned Odor signing with Texas, and pitchers and catchers who are in camp right now.
