Sunday morning Rangers news and links

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Spring training has started!  Woo-hoo!

Jeff Wilson writes that the Rangers' 2015 success will largely hinge on their starting rotation.

Derek Holland is actually getting to participate this spring, unlike last spring, a time that he describes as "closest to my all-time low."  Holland says he's "been working my butt off all offseason."

Gerry Fraley says that the Rangers needed to let Holland pitch at the end of last season for Holland's psyche, and to reward him for his hard work in rehabilitating.

T.R. Sullivan says that, while the Rangers have signed a key starting pitcher to a contract extension each of the last three springs, that streak is likely to come to an end this year.

Kyle Blanks is recovery from an Achilles injury, and he hopes to be ready to play once Cactus League games start.

Yu Darvish threw yesterday, and his elbow is fine.

Stefan Stevenson writes about Keone Kela being enthused about his first major league training camp.

The S-T's notes talk about Blanks, Carlos Corporan, Kyuji Fujikawa, and Jeff Banister.

Sullivan's notes talk about Greg Maddux being in camp, who threw yesterday, Elvis Andrus, and Mitch Moreland.

The DMN's notes talk about Fujikawa, Brandon Beachy, and Yovani Gallardo's hitting.
