Monday Morning Texas Rangers Update

The latest news on the Texas Rangers and belly flops

Good morning. Nice to hear TAG and the gang calling Rangers baseball again yesterday.

Jeff Wilson reports on the Rangers going HAM on the Brewers yesterday after experiencing something resembling a hitting slump over the weekend.

T.R. Sullivan writes that the Rangers were led by Mitch Moreland's three RBI day while beating up on the Brewers.

Wilson writes that starter Ross Ohlendorf left the game yesterday after experiencing discomfort in his groin, an issue most Rangers fans are probably quite familiar with by now.

Sullivan writes that Colby Lewis was super stoked to be there to see his Bakersfield buddy Kevin Harvick win a NASCAR race yesterday.

Sullivan's headline for this piece is "Chirinos picks brain of Gold Glove countryman Perez" which is surprisingly not about Robinson Chirinos becoming a zombie.

Anthony Castrovince of Sports on Earth wonders if the Rangers are doomed -- DOOOOMED! -- without Yu Darvish. (Short answer: Yeah, kinda. Maybe.)

Because it's spring training, we get articles about ballplayers and their wedding plans.

Sullivan's notes share that Shin-Soo Choo gives the Rangers lineup versatility, the team received a pace-of-play progress report, and various injury updates.

Choo might not care where he hits in the lineup, but over at LSB's Facebook page, the Question of the Week asked which Ranger should hit 2nd in the order behind Leonys Martin. (It's probably going to be Elvis, though.)

Lastly, the DMN has a transcript of a radio interview Choo did where he explains that the Korean media was worried about his health after reading that Derek Holland beat him in a footrace.

Have a nice day.
