The Rangers loaded the bases in the first inning of this game when Diamondbacks starter Archie Bradley walked Prince Fielder and Adrian Beltre before hitting Shin-Soo Choo with a pitch. On the ropes, Bradley walked Robinson Chirinos to give Texas a 1-0 lead. Bradley wiggled out of the inning and ended up going six innings of 2-hit ball. That, in a nutshell, was this game.

Yovani Gallardo wasn't good on the mound. The defense behind him was horrible. But the bats going silent when they had a chance to knock the opposing starter out in the first inning was the early death knell that turned this game into a reversal of yesterday's fortune.

Player of the Game: Adrian Beltre was the only Texas Ranger to have two hits. He also homered and walked. He's also Adrian Beltre. He's also the best.
