Series Preview: Seattle Mariners @ Texas Rangers - Sleepless

The Rangers finally made it home after a long road trip at like 4:00 am this morning so I'm sure they're fresh and ready for this series against the Mariners

The Rangers haven't played a non-American League West team from the American League so far this season. They've played a National League team in a National League park but haven't faced an American League Central or East team yet. They won't play their first non-AL West team until May 7 when they face the Tampa Bay Rays. That seems strange.

I'm already sick of Kyle Seager, C.J. Cron, Kole Calhoun, George Springer, Jose Altuve, and the whole horde of scrappy white OBPing no-names the A's collect every year.

Stranger still, each of these teams didn't even arrive in Arlington until the wee hours of the morning due to each of them leaving the West coast for stormy Texas yesterday. The Rangers were diverted to Austin and arrived via bus to the DFW around 4:00 a.m. Similarly, the Mariners didn't arrive in the area after their flight was diverted until around 3:30 a.m.

So, you know, get ready for some sloppy baseball.
