Good morning, everyone...

Man, the Rangers bats are kind of terrible right now.

Texas lost again yesterday, falling 2-1 to the Mariners.

Stefan Stevenson's game story talks about the offense being poor yesterday despite Shin-Soo Choo sitting.  Choo may also sit today, according to Jeff Banister.

Anthony Andro's game story talks about the offense's struggles, with Elvis Andrus saying the team needs to stay positive.

Evan Grant tries to figure out why the Rangers are slumping so badly.

If we're looking for a positive from yesterday, then we can point to Ross Detwiler, who had a solid start for Texas.

Mitch Moreland is having surgery on his elbow, and will be out at least two weeks.  Replacing Moreland will be Kyle Blanks, who has been mashing in Round Rock.

Jeff Wilson has a story on the return of Josh Hamilton, who says that he feels like a player again now that he's back with Texas.

San Diego Padres prospects were taking pictures with Hamilton yesterday in Surprise.

The Rangers' website notes talk about Moreland, Choo, Alex Claudio, and Jorge Alfaro.

The S-T's notes talk about Mitch Moreland's surgery, Wandy Rodriguez starting today, and Derek Holland feeling optimistic about the rotation once he, Martin Perez and Matt Harrison return.
