Blanks up, Moreland to the d.l., Hassan DFA'd

The Rangers have put Mitch Moreland on the disabled list, and have called up Kyle Blanks to replace him on the roster

As was announced yesterday, the Rangers have officially placed Mitch Moreland on the 25 day disabled list.  Moreland had surgery on his left elbow this morning, and is expected to be out of action for a couple of weeks.

To replace Moreland on the 25 man roster, the Rangers have purchased the contract of right handed hitting COF/1B Kyle Blanks from AAA Round Rock.  The Rangers designated outfielder Alex Hassan for assignment to open up a 40 man roster spot for Hassan.
