Well, this isn't unexpected if you've followed the Rangers for the last 15 months or so.
Rangers prospect Joey Gallo had surgery to remove os trigonum. Timeline is around three weeks.

Rangers top prospect and power-hitting demigod Joey Gallo had surgery on his heel after missing the last week or so with soreness. The good news is he isn't expected to miss much time. As the beats note, Geovany Soto had the same os trigonum removal surgery last spring and returned 16 days later.
So, let's all cross our fingers that it's a minor bump in the road and Gallo will be back to slugging with Frisco by late April.
