15-20 - Bullpen lets Rangers down again, Texas drops finale to KC

The Rangers' bullpen has been a garbage fire in May and today was gasoline

Make no mistake, Ross Detwiler wasn't good today. But he wasn't really horrible, either. A fifth starter allowing three runs over five innings is about what you can expect. That said, I'm ready for him to go to the bullpen.

The Rangers have had trouble finding a lefty for the bullpen and that continued today as Sam Freeman made his debut and allowed a home run to left-handed hitter Eric Hosmer in a pretty demoralizing sixth inning which saw the Royals plate three runs half an inning after the Rangers had rallied to bring the score to 3-2.

It's time to put Detwiler in the 'pen where he belongs.

Player of the Game: Shin-Soo Choo remains locked in as he went 3-4 with a walk to extend his hitting streak to 14 games. It's the current longest active streak in the majors which is startling considering how awful Choo looked in April.
