Phil Klein, the righthanded reliever who was moved to the rotation just a few weeks ago at AAA Round Rock, has been named the Rangers' starting pitcher for Wednesday's game in Boston.
A spot in the rotation opened up when Ross Detwiler was placed on the 15 day disabled list. It remains to be seen whether Klein will stay in the rotation, or will just make this one start and be sent back down.
The Rangers will have to make a roster move to make room for Klein on the 25 man roster, with Alex Claudio being the most likely candidate to be sent down.
