The Alex Hassan era in Texas is over.
Outfielder Alex Hassan, who was designated for assignment this past week to make room on the 40 man roster for Kyle Blanks, has been claimed on waivers by the Oakland A's.
The Rangers, of course, claimed Hassan off of waivers from the A's on April 9. This is the third time in the last six months the A's have claimed Hassan on waivers, having claimed him from Boston on November 17, 2014, then claimed him from Baltimore (who had claimed Hassan from Oakland after Oakland had waived him in November) in February, 2015, and now today.
Hassan, 27, had put up a .267/.343/.350 line for Round Rock.
