The Rangers are now 13-10 away from Arlington and have won three straight baseball games. That, my friends, is a winning streak. Tonight's victory was only the fifth time all season that the Rangers won the opening game of a series in 14 tries.
There were 19 total runs scored by both teams in this game which, in 2015, is basically hundreds. The Rangers scored in outbursts of seven runs in the top of the third off of Yankees' starter Michael Pineda, got a solo Prince Fielder dinger in the seventh, and scored two insurance runs in the eighth. In the three-game series in Boston, the Rangers scored a total of eight runs.
Ross Ohlendorf is pretty fun.
Player of the Game: Prince Fielder went deep twice for the Rangers and drove in four runs. Fielder now has a team-leading seven dongs. He's also hitting .341 on the year which is third in the American League. He also has a nice personality and seems like a good father.
