Several items out there this afternoon worth noting, if not necessarily needing separate posts for each one...
The beat guys on Twitter say that Matt Harrison will make another start at extended spring training on Thursday, and then will throw a bullpen in Arlington on Sunday. If things go well then, he'll start a rehab assignment after that.
Mark Parker has a Q&A with Hickory RHP Collin Wiles. The 2012 first rounder has had a terrific start to the season, putting up a 1.37 ERA for the Crawdads in 39.1 IP.
The Rangers have signed righthanded pitcher Jared Burton to a minor league deal. Burton, who turns 34 next month, had a career 3.44 ERA in 361 IP, all in relief, for the Reds and Twins. Burton was released earlier this month by the Yankees, who had signed him to a minor league deal.
Buster Olney has praise for Jeff Banister getting the Rangers turned around after a bad start to the season.
And Rougned Odor hit a home run today in the first game of the doubleheader between the Express and the Isotopes. It is Odor's 4th homer since being demoted.
