Hamilton, DeShields both in Ranger lineup today

With Josh Hamilton being activated today, Delino DeShields is in center field and Leonys Martin is on the bench

Josh Hamilton is being activated from the disabled list today, and in his return to the Rangers lineup (for the first time since the end of 2012), he is batting fifth and playing left field.  I have my doubts about how productive Hamilton is going to be, and whether he'll be able to stay healthy, but it should be an interesting experiment, and I'm curious to see how Hamilton's return to Texas plays out.

Meanwhile, Delino DeShields, Jr., is starting in center field and hitting leadoff against Cleveland righthander Shaun Marcum, with Leonys Martin on the bench.  The expectation seemed to be that Leonys would continue to play against righthanded pitchers, but DeShields has provided the Rangers with a spark since getting regular playing time, and Jeff Banister appears willing to see if DeShields can continue to perform with regular playing time.

The full lineup:

DeShields -- CF

Choo -- RF

Fielder -- DH

Beltre -- 3B

Hamilton -- LF

Moreland -- 1B

Elvis -- SS

Corporan -- C

Field -- 2B

Phil Klein pitches for the Rangers.
