Video: Nomar Mazara home run. While the big story yesterday was Martin Perez's return to real games (albeit at the minor league level), Nomar Mazara also did some things, hitting his fifth home run of the year:
Mazara is now hitting .286/.368/.424 on the season, with 24 walks and 48 Ks in 231 plate appearances. He's not showing quite as much power as you'd expect, but otherwise, he's performing up to expectations this year as one of the youngest players in AA.
