The Rangers like to make it exciting for you. After being up 2-0 in the 9th with Chi Chi Gonzalez going for another shutout, the Dodgers tied it on a Justin Turner two-run dinger with one out. It was a gut shot. With Chi Chi out, it became the Rangers bullpen versus the Dodgers bullpen and that heavily favored the Dodgers.
Shawn Tolleson was named the closer and in proud closer tradition, he nearly blew the game as the Dodgers had two on with two out in the 9th after Chi Chi left. Tolleson got Jimmy Rollins to fly out to left to end the inning but the damage was done and the momentum favored LA.
No matter, in the bottom of the 9th, the first man at the plate, Robinson Chirinos hit a game-winning walk off dong to give the Rangers a sweep of the Arlington leg of this four game series.
Player of the Game: Chi Chi Gonzalez was two outs from the second CGSO of his four-game career. Even though he allowed the game-tying home run, he still had a heck of a game going 8 1/3 innings of two run ball against arguably the best team in baseball.
