Good morning.
Here's the Rangers' last week or so of baseball if the Rangers were Jeff Francoeur:
Here's the MLB.com recap of the Rangers' 3-2 series-losing loss in Toronto yesterday which saw Texas strand the tying run in each of the last three innings.
Katy Clarke writes that the Rangers had more missed connections than the lonely section of Craigslist yesterday.
Evan Grant recaps Chi Chi Gonzalez's outing yesterday which was pretty good overall despite losing command after allowing a home run in the 4th.
Stefan Stevenson writes that the Rangers' offensive outfield offense is killing the team's run production.
Grant writes that Josh Hamilton should be back today and he may just end up becoming the new center fielder.
MLB.com's Jamie Ross writes that Hamilton will likely be activated from the DL today. With Hamilton back, that might spell the end of Joey Gallo's tenure with the big club. However, the team isn't expected to activate Delino DeShields just yet so Gallo could survive for a little while longer.
Stevenson has notes on Chi Chi's latest start, Matt Harrison nearing a return as he said he would refuse an extended rehab assignment, and various other injury updates.
Grant writes that Harrison will make a final rehab start on Wednesday and will then join the big league squad if he makes it through unscathed. Grant believes that the Rangers will then either go with a six-man rotation or put another starter on the DL with the All-Star break around the corner.
Ross previews tonight's opener in Baltimore as the Rangers face the Orioles for the first time in 2015.
Finally, Herschel Walker is older than the Atlanta Falcons franchise and has been invited to Falcons' camp 18 years after his last NFL game. Even Julio Franco thinks this is nuts.
Have a nice day.
