Neftali Feliz, who just cleared waivers and rejected an outright assignment by the Texad Rangers this week, has reportedly agreed to a deal with the Detroit Tigers. Feliz will apparently be at the stadium and available to pitch this afternoon in Detroit's game against the Minnesota Twins.
Feliz was designated for assignment a week ago so Texas could activate Matt Harrison from the 60 day disabled list. Feliz has seemingly been unable to return from his 2012 Tommy John surgery, but with the Tigers in dire need of bullpen help, they are going to give Feliz a look.
The Tigers now have former Ranger closer Joe Nathan, who is on the d.l., as well as former Ranger closer Joakim Soria, who blew a four run lead last night, as well as former Ranger closer Feliz. Tiger fans must have mixed feelings about adding yet another Ranger reliever to their team's roster.
