Carlos Corporan to the disabled list, Tomas Telis up

Texas Rangers catcher Carlos Corporan has been placed on the disabled list due to a sprained thumb, per John Blake on Twitter.  To take Corporan's place on the 25 man roster, the Rangers have recalled catcher Tomas Telis from AAA Round Rock.

Corporan apparently hurt his thumb in a workout yesterday.  The timing of this injury isn't good, as there has been talk that the Rangers might look to deal Corporan before the deadline to a team looking for catching depth.

Telis, a switch-hitter, will back up Robinson Chirinos.
