Fangraphs has their "Five Worst Contracts" list out, and the Rangers have two players in the top five of the list, with Shin-Soo Choo coming in at #4 and Elvis Andrus at #2.
While Dave Cameron acknowledges Elvis isn't going anywhere anytime soon, there continues to be talk that Choo could be moved in the near future, as the Rangers find themselves with more corner outfielder options (particularly lefty-swinging corner outfielder options) than they have spots for them. Jonah Keri talks about the Rangers' situation in his column today, talking about how the Rangers continue to be linked to Cole Hamels, and speculating that Choo could be moved (with Texas subsidizing a good chunk of Choo's contract) to free up some money for Hamels.
Ken Rosenthal has also talked before about the Rangers looking to move Choo this offseason, and this seems like a bad fit for both parties that each will likely want to move on from this offseason.
And I'm not going to talk about the Elvis situation because Elvis makes me sad right now, and I don't want to think about that.
