For a while there it looked like this game was a carbon copy of last night's game as Martin Perez, just like Matt Harrison last night, looked on his way to winning a game for the first time in 14 months before Tanner Scheppers vulture'd him and turned an 8-4 lead into an 8-8 tie in the bottom of the 8th.
Luckily for Texas, Elvis Andrus came through with a two-run RBI single with the bases loaded in the top of the 9th and the Rangers ended up winning a game that turned out to be very similar to Monday's failed comeback but in reverse. This time, Texas came out ahead with a 9th inning rally after the Rockies overcame a big deficit.
With the win, the Rangers took a series for the first time since July 2 in Baltimore.
Player of the Game: Rougned Odor did his best Shin-Soo Choo impression and was a double away from hitting for the cycle one day after Choo completed the feat last night.
