Monday Morning Texas Rangers Update

The latest news on the Rangers and home field disadvantage

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning. The only good thing to say about the weekend of baseball we experienced is that it is no longer the weekend.

Katy Clarke recaps the Rangers' 12-6 loss to the Angels as the Rangers were swept in three straight blowouts.

T.R. Sullivan's recap notes that Colby Lewis had his annual drubbing by the Angels in Arlington.

Anthony Andro reviews the weekend disaster against the Angels as Texas takes a day off today before finishing up the first half of the season against the Diamondbacks and Padres.

Stefan Stevenson has more on the deja vu series against the Angels which saw the Rangers allow 33 runs in the three games over the weekend.

Sullivan writes about the All-Star game selections with no Rangers picked for the starting lineup. Prince Fielder and Yovani Gallardo appear to be the only candidates to be selected as reserves.

Sullivan also has notes on Josh Hamilton's injury issues and Delino DeShields' return to the lineup.

Lastly, Stevenson's notes cover Hamilton's latest malady -- in this case, a mild groin strain, DeShields leading off, and various notes on rehabbing Rangers.

Have a nice day.
