The latest news on the Rangers and lone representatives

Good morning. You folks all up in arms about All-Star snubs? How can you leave A-Rod off the team?

The Rangers didn't really have any snubs because, as T.R. Sullivan writes, Prince Fielder was selected to the All-Star Game.

Anthony Andro writes that Fielder feels validated with his selection as he was actually the players' top choice for DH on the ballot.

Jeff Wilson writes about Fielder's inclusion among the All-Stars while noting that Yovani Gallardo didn't make the team which marks the first time since '09 that the Rangers don't have a pitcher on the AL squad and the first time since '07 that the Rangers only have one player make the team.

Chris Cwik has the full list of All-Star starters, reserves, final vote candidates. Darren O'Day is an All-Star!

Wilson has a piece on Matt Harrison's unprecedented return to the majors this Wednesday after thinking his career might be over.

MLB.com's Jake Rill previews tonight's series opener against the Arizona Diamondbacks as Yovani Gallardo takes the mound with a 29 1/3 inning scoreless streak.

The Kansas City Royals' bullpen is absurdly flush while the Rangers' bullpen probably needs to be flushed. As Aaron Gleeman writes, the Royals have designated old pal Jason Frasor for assignment despite pitching well this season. Perhaps Frasor can make a return to Texas.

Finally, Sports Illustrated has a Where Are They Now feature on the athletes behind some of most memorable trading cards.

Have a nice day.
