Derek Holland will start for the Texas Rangers on Wednesday, per the usual suspects on Twitter.
Holland, of course, has thrown one inning this season for the Rangers, landing on the disabled list after that one inning with a torn muscle in his shoulder. Holland is on the 60 day disabled list, but has been getting good reports from his rehab assignment, and the Rangers apparently feel like he's ready to re-join the rotation.
Chi Chi Gonzalez is still slated to start on Tuesday, at which point he will presumably be optioned to AAA Round Rock to make room for Holland. The Rangers will still have to make a 40 man roster move to clear a spot for Holland, with Leonys Martin going to the 60 day d.l. the most likely option, if Leonys does, in fact, have a broken hand that will need surgery.
The Rangers rotation, post-activation, will have Cole Hamels, Martin Perez, Derek Holland, Yovani Gallardo, and Colby Lewis. That's pretty solid.
