This game actually seemed like it was going to be the inverse of last night's game with the Rangers coming out in the first inning and quickly putting three runs on the board before going quiet at the plate while the Mariners dealt with a returning Derek Holland and employed the peck-away theory.
In the seventh inning, after the Mariners made it 3-2, Mitch Moreland, Mike Napoli, and Elvis Andrus made sure there would be no late-inning tense moments by hitting three home runs in four pitches to go back-to-back-to-back for just the 8th time in franchise history.
Player of the Game: Derek Holland looked good in his return. More importantly, Holland didn't look anything like Wandy Rodriguez. Holland went 6 1/3 and allowed two runs while striking out six Mariners to pick up the win as the Rangers took the series.
