Yovani Gallardo versus the Toronto Murderers' Row Jays in 2015: 13 2/3 innings, zero runs, seven hits allowed. No one ever said that baseball is supposed to make sense.
Also, this happened:
August trades, man.
Player of the Game: Sam Dyson allowed the only run that the Blue Jays scored but he also induced a double play from Troy Tulowitzki with the bases loaded in a then 1-0 game in the top of the 7th inning when it looked like the Jays were about to jump on the Rangers late again. Dyson has been a dang miracle.
