Video: Lewis Brinson, outfielder in the Texas Rangers' minor league system, has spent most of this season in high-A High Desert, where video coverage is scant. As a result, we've had basically no video of him this year.
Now that he's been promoted to AA Frisco, however, we can see Brinson in action for ourselves. Here are a couple of XBHs from Brinson from the past couple of days:
Between high-A and AA, Brinson has put up a .337/.411/.626 line with 31 walks and 67 Ks in 314 plate appearances this year. Considered a plus defender and baserunner with questions about his hit tool and ability to make contact, if Brinson can stay healthy (he's spent part of the past two seasons on the d.l. with leg issues) and hit a little bit, he'll be a possible center field option for the Rangers in 2017.
