Don't look now but there's still a third of the season to go and the Rangers are now only six games back of Houston. Back at .500 for the first time in exactly a month, the Rangers are also inching closer up the American League standings and are within two games of Toronto for a playoff spot.
Now, if only Texas could win the games started by Cole Hamels.
Holy moly that buttpuckering bullpen work tonight, though.
Player of the Game: How about speed demon Chris Gimenez? The Rangers' makeshift catcher went 2-4 tonight and stole two bases and scored the tying run in the 5th. Before tonight, Gimenez, in 186 career games, had just one stolen base for his career. Baseball happens.
