Longtime voice of the Rangers Eric Nadel missed last night's radio broadcast after undergoing surgery to repair a detached retina, according to multiple reports.
Nadel, the 2014 Ford C. Frick Award winner, has been doing Rangers games since 1979, and is really the gold standard, as far as I'm concerned, for doing radio baseball broadcasts.
Nadel is expected to miss several more games. In his absence, Jared Sandler is joining Matt Hicks on the radio call.
