Tuesday Morning Texas Rangers Update

The latest news on the Rangers and final days off

Jim Cowsert-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning. I hope you're well rested because it's non-stop baseball action from here on out as yesterday was the last off day of the season for the Rangers.

Jeff Wilson write that with the division lead down to one game, for the Rangers to win the West, they have to be able to beat the teams other than Houston in the West.

Evan Grant notes that the Rangers shouldn't fear no opponent now that they have Mike Napoli's patriotic shorts on their side.

T.R. Sullivan writes that Prince Fielder and Adrian Beltre form the dynamic duo that fuels the Rangers.

In fact, as MLB.com's Joey Nowak notes, Fielder is the current American League Co-Player of the Week thanks to nine run, three dinger, and nine RBI week to propel the Rangers into first place.

EG has notes on Andrew Faulkner excelling against left-handers, Will Venable's role as Napoli's defensive caddy, and the awful stadium the Rangers will be forced to play in this week.

Finally, that awful stadium, in Oakland, will host Martin Perez against Sean Nolin in the first game of a three game series against the A's tonight.

Have a nice day.
