84-70 - Correa crushes thoughts of a Rangers sweep

Carlos Correa makes his presence known as a problem for the Texas Rangers for the next ten years

Thomas B. Shea-USA TODAY Sports

For a while there this game looked like every other game for the Rangers this month. Texas scored three two-out runs in the first inning and had won like a million straight games this way. Then Carlos Correa happened and the Rangers stopped scoring until a two-out rally in the 9th while the bullpen sprung an uncharacteristic leak.

Hey, at least this means the Angels won't hold a playoff spot at the end of today.

Player of the Game: From a Rangers perspective, Shin-Soo Choo hit a home run and reached three times. That was pretty cool. Unfortunately, Correa is basically 1996 Alex Rodriguez already.
