Shawn Tolleson, Texas Rangers agree to one year contract

The Rangers and Shawn Tolleson have agreed to a one year, $3.275M deal, avoiding arbitration

The Texas Rangers have agreed to a one year contract with reliever Shawn Tolleson, according to John Blake on Twitter.  The beat guys are saying it is for $3.275 million.

Tolleson, 28, was originally claimed on waivers from the Dodgers by the Rangers in the 2013-14 offseason, and took over as the team's closer in 2015 after Neftali Feliz flamed out.  Tolleson has a 2.88 ERA in 144 innings over the past two seasons, and is likely going to be the team's closer for 2016.

MLB Trade Rumors had projected Tolleson at $2.6 million for 2016.
