The Rawlings Gold Glove Award finalists at each position were announced today, and three Texas Rangers players made the cut.
Adrian Beltre was named a finalist for the American League Gold Glove at third base, and Mitch Moreland was named a finalist for the American League Gold Glove at first base.
In addition, Jonathan Lucroy, who was acquired by the Rangers on July 31, was named a finalist for the National League Gold Glove at catcher.
Moreland is vying with former Ranger Chris Davis of the Orioles, as well as Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer, as he seeks his first Gold Glove. Beltre, who has four previous Gold Gloves, is up against Kyle Seager of the M’s and Manny Machado of the Orioles. Lucroy, meanwhile, is battling Buster Posey and Yadier Molina.
The winners will be announced on November 8.
