Texas Rangers playoff roster: ALDS 25 man roster set

Texas Rangers playoff roster: The ALDS roster for the Rangers’ five game series against the Toronto Blue Jays has been announced this morning, right at the 10 a.m. deadline by which rosters had to be set.

Jared Hoying is on the roster as a pinch runner and defensive replacement, as is Nomar Mazara, whose spot on the roster I had questions about. Going with seven relievers gave the Rangers the ability to keep Mazara and Hoying both on the bench.
