Ron Washington finalist for Atlanta Braves manager job

Ron Washington, former Texas Rangers manager, is a finalist for the Atlanta Braves managerial job, according to Jon Heyman. Washington is, per Heyman, one of three finalists, along with Bud Black and Brian Snitker.

As I’ve said before, I was a fan of Wash during his time in Texas, and was sad to see him leave the organization upon his sudden resignation in late 2014. The Braves are a young, rebuilding team, and Wash has a great reputation as a teacher and for cultivating a solid clubhouse culture, so I think he’d be a good fit there.

I’m rooting for him to get the job.
