Derek Holland's time with the Texas Rangers is apparently over, as reports indicate that the team will either trade him, or decline his 2017 option, which is $11 million with a $1.5 million buyout.
While the decision has been made, I'm curious about whether the folks here think that is the right decision -- do you think that the Rangers should move on from Derek Holland, whether that's via a trade (that would likely bring a negligible return) or via declining the option? Or do you think the team should elect to exercise the option and have him in their plans for 2017?
