The Rangers’ 2017 Opening Day game will be a night game, starting at 6:05 Central

Texas Rangers Opening Day will be Opening Night (or Opening Evening), as MLB has announced today that Texas’s game against the Cleveland Indians will have a 6:05 Central Time start at Globe Life Park

The fact that the Indians are the defending A.L. Champs probably didn’t hurt in getting this game set up for a better TV audience window. ESPN will be televising the game, as will Fox Sports Southwest.

In any case, no need to take off of work for Opening Day now.
