Good morning, folks...

We have our first significant Rangers move of the offseason, as Texas has reportedly agreed to a one year, $10 million deal with free agent pitcher Andrew Cashner.

T.R. Sullivan writes that the Rangers had been discussing Cashner with the San Diego Padres for the last couple of years.

Jeff Wilson has a story on the agreement with Cashner, and the 40 man roster moves the Rangers made yesterday.

Gerry Fraley thinks that the Astros acquiring Brian McCann and Josh Reddick means they want to be more like the Rangers.

Fraley also appears to find Jairo Beras not being added the most notable move/non-move vis-a-vis the Rangers protecting players from the Rule 5 draft and making 40 man moves yesterday.
