Saturday morning Rangers news and links

MLB: Texas Rangers at Chicago White Sox Dennis Wierzbicki-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning, folks...

Barry Horn’s column on the radio ratings in D/FW includes info on the Rangers’ ratings in the playoffs.

Hmmm...there’s not much else out there this morning, Rangers-related.

Fidel Castro has died, though. Prior to his death, there had been some moves towards normalizing relations between the U.S. and Cuba. With his passing, it may be that that will accelerate, and baseball players won’t have to defect to play in the U.S. Which would eliminate illegal smuggling of players out of Cuba, which Jeff Passan talks about here.

The agent of former Ranger Leonys Martin was arrested for human trafficking, and the details of what Leonys went through to get to the U.S. are hair-raising.
