Keith Law's top 100 prospect list is out, and as expected, five Texas Rangers prospects have made the cut and been included.
Outfielder Nomar Mazara, who will likely start the season in AAA Round Rock and should see Arlington at some point this season, was the highest ranked Ranger at #9. Third baseman Joey Gallo was next, at #12, followed by outfielder Lewis Brinson at #32. Gallo and Brinson should also be starting the year at AAA Round Rock, making the Express one of the more exciting minor league teams to be following this season.
Rounding out the Ranger contingent on the top 100 list are the top righthanded pitchers the Rangers used first round picks on the past two years -- Dillon Tate, the #4 overall pick in 2015, was slotted at #50, while Luis Ortiz, the team's first rounder in 2014, checks in at #79.
Keith will be chatting beginning at noon Central today, so if you have questions about the top 100, the organizational rankings, or whatever, hit it up and shoot him a question.
