The venerable Baseball America released their top 100 list this evening, and the Rangers placed five prospects on the list. I bet you won't be able to guess which ones! Just kidding. It's the same five that have been on the dozens and dozens of lists out there this winter.
It seems each publication as their own take on the ordering of the Rangers' top five and BA is no exception. A group consisting of the likes of John Manuel and Ben Badler have 3B/OF Joey Gallo at #10. OF Sweet Lew Brinson ranks #16 while OF Nomar Mazara comes in at #21.
On the pitching side, 2014 first rounder RHP Luis Ortiz balloons up to 64th on the list while 2015 fourth overall pick RHP Dillon Tate rounds out the listed Rangers at #69 (nice).
Of interest: Cole Hamels trade castaways RHP Jake Thompson (75) and OF Nick Williams (27) made the list while Jorge Alfaro slipped off the list entirely.
