Video: Yu Darvish throws lefthanded. Texas Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish is working his way back from Tommy John surgery, and we've joked at various times that the righthander should just throw with his left hand until he's fully recovered from the surgery.
Well, via Stefan Stevenson, we have video of Yu throwing lefty at workouts this morning. And you know...he looks like he knows what he's doing. He isn't throwing like most people do when they switch to their off hands...instead, he's throwing like someone who has always been a lefty. Pretty impressive:
Odd: #YuDarvish decides to throw left-handed in 2016. Probably little drop off. pic.twitter.com/WE2s2xryoz

In the meantime, we are continuing to wait with bated breath as Yu works his way back to the major league rotation. The time table is currently that he will be back in the majors in mid-May to early-June. Jon Daniels has previously indicated that they anticipate him going out on a rehab assignment in the minors in April, which means that, if all goes to plan, Yu should be back in the majors before Memorial Day.
