The Texas Rangers have reportedly agreed to a minor league deal with free agent outfielder Drew Stubbs, according to Jerry Crasnick on Twitter.

Stubbs will presumably be competing with James Jones, who is also on a minor league deal, for the backup center field job.  With Josh Hamilton on the disabled list to start the season, the Rangers also have an extra open outfield spot, so its possible the Rangers have both Jones or Stubbs on the Opening Day roster.

Stubbs finished the 2015 season as a reserve outfielder for the Rangers.
