Saturday morning Rangers news and links

Good morning, folks...

Evan Grant wants everyone to stop panicking about the Rangers' left field situation.

Yu Darvish is continuing to progress in his return from Tommy John surgery, and is expected to throw off a full mound either Sunday or Monday.

Doug Brocail says he's trying to emphasize to Darvish that at this stage its about getting stronger, not worrying about location.

The Rangers signed Drew Stubbs yesterday, adding him to the outfield mix.

The Rangers have reportedly also talked to Ian Desmond about playing left field, but Desmond is a shortstop, would cost a first round pick, and didn't hit well last year, so that seems unlikely.

Jeff Wilson has a story on Delino DeShields, who isn't worried about a sophomore slump.

T.R. Sullivan writes that DeShields expects to be better in center field in 2016.

Stefan Stevenson offers up his "Surprise Five" thoughts from yesterday at camp.

Sullivan has a story on Tony Barnette, and his experience living and pitching in Japan.

Evan has a story on the new rules changes, with quotes from Elvis Andrus and Jeff Banister.

Bobby Wilson is a Game of Thrones fan.

Tim Cowlishaw says that there are similarities between Josh Hamilton and Tony Romo.

The S-T's notes talk about Drew Stubbs, Yu Darvish and Keone Kela.

Sullivan's notes talk about Luke Jackson, Darvish, Tanner Scheppers, and Elvis Andrus.

UPDATE -- Friday, Saturday, whatever.
