Tim Hulett, the manager for the Rangers' short-season A team in Spokane, is managing the Philippines in the WBC qualifer.

Jesse Sanchez has a story on former Ranger Vlad Guerrero, who participated in a home run derby on Wednesday in the Dominican Republic.

New Ranger reliever Tony Barnette wore #34 while in Japan, but since Texas retired #34 in honor of Nolan Ryan, Barnette is picking a different number.

Former Ranger minor leaguer Tommy Mendonca has re-signed with Sioux City for the 2016, in the American Association, which is an independent league.

So, is it just me, or has it been a particularly slow offseason for Rangers news?  Man, I'm ready for spring training to start...
