Good morning, everybody...
The USA Today has an organizational report on the Rangers.
Gerry Fraley takes a look at who he thinks are locks for jobs in the Rangers' bullpen to start the season, and who he thinks will be fighting for jobs. Fraley lists Chi Chi Gonzalez as a candidate for the long man job, though it seems that, if Gonzalez doesn't win the fifth starter job, he'll end up in AAA in the rotation -- he doesn't seem like the type of pitcher you'd want to stick in the pen as a long man, at this point of his career. If the Rangers keep a long man, Nick Martinez would seem to be more likely to end up in that role.
Fraley also writes that the Rangers have set up their bullpen to be a flexible and deep weapon this season, part of a trend around the majors.
Jose Bautista still is enjoying the memory of his game-winning grand slam three run home run in Game 5 of the ALDS against the Rangers. (Ed. Note -- You see I've been doing a good job of forgetting about that)
Jordan Speith is on a baseball card, but wearing a Red Sox jersey, not a Rangers jersey.
