Jim Callis has a writeup on the Rangers system, and five questions with Dillon Tate

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Jim Callis has a glowing write-up on the Rangers' farm system as part of the MLB Pipeline team previews, talking not just about the Rangers' Big 3 of Joey Gallo, Nomar Mazara and Lewis Brinson, but also raving about the collection of arms that the Rangers have accumulated in the lower levels.

Callis identifies Jairo Beras and Brett Martin, two guys who spent last summer at low-A Hickory, as potential breakout candidates for 2016.  Beras is a guy who got a huge bonus based on his power potential, but who has struggled to make that translate into game action, though he showed signs of it clicking in the latter part of last season.  Martin, meanwhile, is a lefty who gets groundballs and profiles as a potential major league starter down the road.

Callis also has Five Questions with Dillon Tate, the Rangers' first round draft pick (#4 overall) from the 2015 draft.
