The Texas Rangers' farm system's ranking among MLB teams has been consistently high this offseason among groups that do these sorts of things, and that trend continued yesterday when MILB.com released their rankings of the major league farm systems.
MILB.com slots the Rangers in at #5 overall, between the Colorado Rockies and the Boston Red Sox, and praises the Rangers' "Big Three" of Joey Gallo, Nomar Mazara and Lewis Brinson.
The top three on the list are the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Atlanta Braves and the Minnesota Twins. Looking at other A.L. West teams, the Houston Astros are at #9, the Oakland A's are at #19, and the Mariners are at #28.
And no surprise...the Angels are dead last in the rankings, coming in at #30. At this point, the shocker would be if the Angels WEREN'T last on one of these lists.
