Ken Rosenthal is optimistic about the Rangers

Ken Rosenthal picks the Texas Rangers to make the World Series

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports has his predictions for the 2016 major league season, and he's optimistic about our Texas Rangers.  Rosenthal predicts that the Rangers will face off against the Chicago Cubs in the World Series, though he has Texas falling short of it all once again.

Intriguingly, Rosenthal also says Mike Trout will finish second in the A.L. MVP balloting...behind Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor.  Odor having an MVP-caliber season would definitely go a long way towards getting the Rangers into the playoffs.

Among other A.L. West teams, Rosenthal isn't optimistic about anyone other than the Astros.  He has the Mariners at #17, the A's at #21, and the Angels at #22.  Houston, Rosenthal thinks will finish second in the A.L. West and be a Wild Card team once again.
